The DSC MAXSYS PC4020 security system driver requires the PC4401 DataLink Module, a DSC keypad (to enroll the module) and control panel firmware version 3.2 or higher. A DB9 to DB25 connector should also be used. Since the DSC module uses the DTR wire on the serial connector and the InFusion Controller does not support it, the dealer must connect the DTR wire to the 12V+ terminal on the InFusion Controller board. If power fluctuations occur, a 12V+ circuit may be needed. However, one was not needed in testing.
Since the DSC MAXSYS is an older system with limited communication capabilities, Vantage recommends the DSC PC1616, PC1832 and PC1864 security system panels for new installations. The DSC MAXSYS is available primarily for legacy support. |
