Vantage's Energy Management Solution Elected Finalist for CEDIA Best New Product Award

Newly released system chosen for excellence in innovation, performance and value

OREM, UT, July 30, 2009--Vantage, a leading provider of home automation solutions for luxury homeowners, today announced that its recently launched Energy Management Solution is one of just 33 runner-ups for the “Best New Product” award given out by the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA).  The Best New Product honor is part of CEDIA’s Manufacturers Excellence Awards, which are judged by a panel of senior electronic systems contractors.

The Best New Product award finalists are selected based upon the following criteria: most innovative, most valuable to a technician, most valuable to a business, most impact on the client’s lifestyle and best performance.

“The deciding factors for the Best New Product award align with our goals in developing the Energy Management Solution,” said Andrew Wale, Vantage vice president of marketing.  “We endeavored to create an innovative product of superior performance that is easy to use, easy to sell, and makes a difference in a homeowners’ energy consumption.  Being recognized by CEDIA for these efforts is an award in itself.”

The Energy Management Solution is comprised of a range of products that integrate with Vantage’s InFusion™ Control System.  The centerpiece of the solution is a touchscreen-based energy dashboard that quantifies specific energy usage and enables custom strategies for the homeowner to produce direct savings.

The system can also be programmed by the dealer with local power costs so that the homeowner can instantly view the exact kilowatt hours they are saving, as well as the equivalent dollar savings.

Homeowners who have the product installed reported a 20 percent decrease in lighting energy usage from dimming alone since implementing the system.  This decrease could amount to an average of $600 - $1,500 savings annually, in addition to the positive effects of energy conservation on the environment as a whole.

Three winners of the Best New Product award will be announced at the Electronic Lifestyles® Awards Banquet and 20th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, Sept. 12 during the 2009 CEDIA EXPO in Atlanta, Ga.  Further information on the finalists can be found at the following link
