Vantage Announces Managing Dealer Program

New Programs Designed to Drive Customer Profit through Partnerships among Vantage Dealers

OREM, UT, September 10, 2009 — Vantage announced today the launch of two new customer programs designed to increase revenue for Vantage dealers.  The Vantage Managing Dealer (VMD) program allows select Vantage authorized dealers to work with custom installers to gain access to more projects and thus increase their home automation revenue.  The Vantage Certified Installer (VCI) program enables qualified dealers, low voltage installers, and electrical professionals to take advantage of a new opportunity to increase their home automation projects with less overhead.

Vantage Gold, Platinum, and Diamond dealers are eligible to become Vantage Managing Dealers in this new project-focused program.  Partnering with local Vantage Certified Installers will allow managing dealers to increase their project volume and thereby increase their product discount rates.  The program will also drive more revenue into their business, while eliminating the full burden of installation costs.

“We’ve conducted an extensive beta test of this innovative program in two of our dealer regions, and have been extremely pleased with the results,” said Jerry Calder, Vantage vice president of sales.  “We’re excited to launch this program to our full dealer base, as well as to qualified installers in the low voltage and electrical industries who are interested in expanding their business into the home automation field.”

Dealers eligible for the VCI program include current Vantage dealers, custom installers who are interested in becoming Vantage dealers but only install one to two projects per year, and low voltage installers or electricians who want to diversify their business by investing in home automation.  In addition, this program is especially designed to target new Vantage dealers who are interested in partnering with a larger dealer in their region to conserve resources and minimize expenses on their initial home automation projects. 

“We believe that this program is a great opportunity for more dealers to diversify their business by investing in home automation,” said Calder.  “Many of today’s dealers are interested in home automation, but just don’t believe that they have the time or the resources to take on new projects.  This program enables them to launch their home automation careers by installing Vantage systems, while minimizing the need for additional resources and expenses on these projects.”
