Course Descriptions and Requirements:
Advanced Programming Course Description:
InFusion Advanced Programming is the first of two courses offered for those Existing Dealers who are looking to become a Vantage Expert. Topics covered include: variable programming, additional conditional logic, troubleshooting and more. There will be out of class exercises that must be completed in order to be successful during the class.
Course length: 2 Days
Course cost: $200 US
Course requirements:You are required to bring your own laptop, which meets all the minimum requirements to run InFusion Design Center.
Class hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM each day and includes the following topics:
- Conditional Logic Programming
- Unlock the power of conditional logic programming in InFusion Design Center. By mastering these topics you will be able to program powerful scenarios that will enhance the experience of any end user.
- Using Triggers
- Triggers are an advanced concept in Design Center Programming. By learning the proper utilization of triggers, you can create programs that respond in unique ways to a variety of activators.
- Custom Touchscreen Design
- The Touschscreen Designer is packed with hundreds of powerful features that allow anyone the opportunity to create powerful and attractive designs. In these units a student will be able to unlock some of the more difficult concepts and implement their own artwork to create truly custom designs.
- Using Variables
- The pinnacle of custom programming, variables will allow you to simplify repetitive tasks and add your own conditions to any scenario. Students will learn how to implement basic, object-type and other advanced variables in any project.
- Advanced Troubleshooting Techniques
- Learn how to use the built in diagnostic tools in Design Center to their fullest. Programming flow and troubleshooting is also covered, allowing each student the opportunity to fix ‘broken’ programs and find creative solutions to problems.
- Vantage Axium 450-AV
- Basic and advanced features of the 450-AV will be shown. Each student will have the opportunity to work on their own rack of A/V equipment which includes a total of 8 zones of distributed audio. Proper wiring, programming and troubleshooting techniques will be demonstrated and practiced.
- Vantage DMM-4S
- The newest product in the Vantage A/V line, the DMM-4S will be covered in great detail showing the basic features all the way through to advanced setup and configuration settings. Both the InFusion Media Object and custom programming techniques will be taught in several hands on workshops.
- Driver Writing and InFusion Driver Designer
- Each student will be taken through the full process of driver creation used by Vantage to create any 3rd party device driver. By exploring the basics of RS-232 programming a solid base will be established before the Driver Designer is introduced. Each student will complete a full featured bi-directional communication driver. Advanced concepts such like implementing custom programming in a driver will also be taught.
Advanced Integration Course Description:
InFusion Advanced Integration is the second of two courses offered for those Existing Dealers who are looking to become a Vantage Expert. Topics covered include: setting up and programming the DMM4-S, Axium 450AV, and creating your own bi-directional RS-232 drivers. There will be out of class exercises that must be completed in order to be successful during the class.
Course length: 2 Days
Course cost: $200 US
Course requirements:You are required to bring your own laptop, which meets all the minimum requirements to run InFusion Design Center. Additionally, a 9 PIN Serial Port or USB to Serial Adapter is required.
