Vantage to Offer Training Courses at CEDIA 2010

 

Two Popular Classes Focus on Advanced Programming Techniques and One New Course Teaches Touchscreen Layout and Design 

 

OREM, UT, September 13, 2010 – Vantage, the leader in home automation solutions for luxury homes, announced today three education courses to be hosted on-site at CEDIA at the Georgia World Congress Center. Class topics range from conditional logic and variable usage advanced programming to touchscreen layout and design. The courses will take place on Saturday, September 25, 2010, in room A409, and are designed to give dealers convenient access to learn more about Vantage products and programming.  

 

Course Descriptions:

 

Vantage Advanced Programming - Conditional Logic

In this class participants can expect to learn about the building blocks of InFusion advanced programming, which covers defining, planning and implementing “tasks” in Design Center that respond to user events, controller events or third party feedback. 

  • Course to run from 8:00 – 9:30am EST, Sat. Sept. 25

 

Vantage Advanced Programming - Variable Usage

Building upon techniques learned in the Conditional Logic course, this workshop will introduce students to the many variable types in Design Center and demonstrate how to implement them in a variety of tasks.

  • Course to run from 10:00am – 1:00pm EST, Sat. Sept. 25

 

Vantage Touchscreen Layout and Design           

In this brand new course, participants can expect to learn the fundamentals of User Interface and Interactive Design in relationship to Vantage touchscreens. The course will teach students to implement concepts like affordances, framing, expectation effect, proximity and others to increase the usability and adoption of touchscreen designs.

  • Course to run from 2:00pm – 5:00pm EST, Sat. Sept. 25
