Vantage Announces New Online Training Program

Essentials Program Enables Current and Prospective Dealers and Specifiers to Learn System Basics Quickly and Conveniently

OREM, UT, August 24, 2010 – Vantage, the leader in home automation solutions for luxury homes, announced today an addition to its dealer education courses. The Vantage Essentials Online Training Program provides an opportunity for installers and specifiers to conveniently learn more about Vantage products through self-directed, online modules.

The program provides a basic overview of Vantage products, including the Infusion, Enspire and ProLAN systems. It is designed to give architects, designers, specifiers, Vantage certified installers, and existing Vantage dealers a general understanding of specification, systems capabilities, and the wiring requirements for multiple product lines. With seven self-paced modules, the program is perfect as an introduction for new installers or specifiers and a refresher or supplemental training for existing dealers.

"Our dealers and specifiers want convenient access to technical information about Vantage products," said Terry Baker, Director of Training for Vantage.  "We have developed an online training curriculum that immediately gives our customers the information they need in a concise, self-paced learning format.  Whether it's gathering information on a new product or refreshing their knowledge about a specific installation technique, our online offering has made professional development affordable and practical."

In addition to its basic training program, Vantage now offers online courses on its 450 A/V and Digital Music Manager products, as well as a Driver Tools Training course designed to provide dealers with an overview of the Vantage driver philosophy.

450A/V Training

  • The 450 A/V Training covers specification, layout, installation and programming of the 450 A/V, one of the most advanced, dedicated multi-room amplifiers on the market.

Digital Music Manager Training

  • Vantage also offers training for its Digital Music Manager (DMM). The course provides a comprehensive overview of the popular product and explains necessary steps to successfully install, configure and program the DMM.

Driver Tools Training

  • Broken into three parts, this course covers the creation of new drivers, RS232 drivers for control, and RS232 feedback codes. It is designed as a follow-up to Vantage’s Basic Infusion Training.

Each program module requires approximately 45 minutes for completion. To participate in the online training courses, users must first obtain a Vantage dealer user ID and password. For more information, contact the training department at 717-546-5464 or training-hs@legrand.us.
