Vantage Unveils IRX II and IR Learner II

Infrared solutions emphasize ease-of-use, smaller size and greater control

OREM, UT, Dec. 3, 2009 – Vantage, the leader in luxury home automation solutions, announces the release of the Infrared Emitter Station II (IRX II) and Infrared Learner II (IR Learner II), Vantage’s next generation in integration and audio visual (A/V) control products.  The IRX II integrates the home theater or boardroom into a complete automation system and can control virtually any A/V device using previously programmed keypads, remote controls, touch screens and time controls.

“The development and design of the IRX II was heavily influenced by dealer feedback,” said Andrew Wale, Vantage vice president of marketing.  “The new design is half the size, allowing a dealer to fit two controllers on a 1U rack shelf, or one discreetly behind a television set for local control of a smaller system.  Also, the IRX II installation is quick and simple due to the many new features like automatic software nulling of RS232 ports.”

Adaptable for use with an Ethernet Bus or a Station Bus, the IRX II is the most flexible product in Vantage’s InFusion line.  The IRX II configures to any location, device interface or wiring infrastructure, and can control simple to complex installations of A/V gear using IR and RS232 with flow control.

The IRX II is the ideal solution for A/V control, allowing for one-button control of an audio system, DVD player, motorized projector screen, window coverings and more.  Integrating new products is easy for the IRX II due to its vast library of IR and RS232 codes, and ability to build additional new codes using Vantage’s Driver Tools software.

In addition to the IRX II, the Infrared Learner II works in conjunction with Vantage’s InFusion Driver Tools Software to store and use IR codes in any project.  For ease-of-use, the IR Learner II uses a USB connection to easily incorporate DVD players, TV’s or any device that accepts IR codes in your project.  The IR Leaner II offers greater integration into Vantage’s complete interface and control package.
